Baptist Nursing Fellowship of Georgia to organize local chapter The Bethel Baptist Association is pleased to announce the organization of a local chapter of the Baptist Nursing Fellowship of Georgia. The main purpose of the organization is to encourage health professionals to pursue and serve evolving from a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. All health professionals can be involved. The National Baptist Nursing Fellowship defines a health professional as "any person who is, or was, educated and licensed in the provision of health care such as nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, medical laboratory technology, physical therapy, occupational therapy and radiation therapy." Baptist Nursing Fellowship of Georgia has another classification, honorary members. These are non-medical people who serve to support the members of the medical teams. They are clerical teams, children's ministry teams, hair cutting teams and prayer support teams. An organizational meeting is Oct. 6 at Fort Gaines Baptist Church in Fort Gaines. The meeting will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Refreshments will be provided.
