Johnny Harvey Retired

Johnny Will Harvey, 94, of Blakely died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Miller County Nursing Home.

Mr. Harvey was born in Blakely Dec. 24, 1912. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a retired peanut mill worker.

Survivors include four daughters, Catherine Johnson of Avenel, N.J., Marrine Patt Lovett and husband Herbert of Edison, N.J., Ida Bea Guy of Plainfield, N.J. and Elizabeth Sharp of Highland Park, N.J.; two sons, John Harvey of Edison, N.J., and Joseph Harvey and wife Jackie of Plainfield, N.J.; two sisters, Pear Lee Gilbert of Blakely and Jennie Dawson of Vienna, Ga.; two brothers, Lugene Sapp of Los Angeles, Calif. and Robert Hutchins of Atlanta; and a special niece, Lorne Brady and husband James of Blakely.

Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Daniels officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.

Peoples Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
