A week of ups & downs

The pain of another tragedy rippled through our community this week
when news that Joseph Bush had died in an accident. As usual the
outpouring of support within the community was there for Cliff, Mary Edith
and their family. But, only those who have lost a child can grasp the pain
they are having to bear. The rest of us can only pray with them.

For those of you who don't already know, the fellow who can hit a golf
ball as far as anybody in the world is right here in Blakely. J.D.
Murkerson has qualified for the LDA world championship competition the
past two years and made a good showing both times out. Several weeks ago
he won big at an invitational event in Little Rock. This past weekend he
scored big by qualifying for one of eight spots on a series of six
televised events which will match the long drivers with NASCAR drivers.
Stay tuned. In the meantime catch J.D. at this year's long drive world
championship Oct. 23-30.

Remember all the fear mongering
about the rampant flooding from the glaciers melting due to global warming
that Al Gore and his media and science cronies have been stuffing us with
for some time? Well, forget it! Some guy from Erie, Pa., has discovered a
way to burn salt water! I'm serious. John Kanzius was actually trying to
desalinate some salt water with a radio wave generator when it caught on
fire. A leary Penn State chemist made his way to Erie to debunk Mr.
Kanzius' claim. He came back claiming Kanzius' discovery was "the most
remarkable in water science in 100 years." Now we just gotta figure out
how to burn it as fast as them glaciers are gonna melt. With a stroke of
luck, we just might figure out a way to make electric burning water. Who
would've ever thunk that? |
