A big day on Court Square
Rains part for block party

An estimated 3,500 people made their way to Court Square Saturday to take in the Block Party activities. Ronnie Robinson and the Legends kicked things off and the afternoon ended with a big show by Sawyer Brown. In between there were activities, foods and entertainment all day.

A variety of film industry converged on Blakely Friday for screenings, seminars and meetings. There was a Black- Tie awards ceremony Saturday, at the Jokara-Micheaux Film Studio in Colquitt.
The long awaited Dream Big surprise came rolling around Court Square Saturday afternoon during the block party. A really big truck, a EC2055 emblazened six-door Ford F-650 Super CrewZer occupied by Charles and Barton Rice tossing EC2055 labeled packs of M&Ms to the crowd gathering for the performance of the Sawyer Brown band. The Super CrewZer will be available for parades in Blakely and other communities.
