China Miller China "Kitten" Miller, 84, of Blakely died Friday, July 27, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Miller was born in Early County Oct. 15, 1924, to the late Andrew and Rosie Miller. She was retired and a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willie Ed Kendrew, Bill Jesse Miller and Willie C. Reed; one daughter, Daisy Mae Butler; three siblings, Johnny Miller, Gullie Mairell and Mattie Price; two grandsons, Bruce Butler and Willie Earl Butler; and one grandsonin law, Freddie Timpson. Survivors include three sisters, Hattie Miller of Arlington, Evelyn Reddick and Clara Canidate of Miami; two brothers, Andrew Miller and wife Pauline of Arlington and Bernie Martin of Atlanta; one son-in-law, Lonnie Clyde Butler and wife Mary of Blakely; four grandchildren, China Shorter and husband Frank, Sandra Butler and Juana Timpson, all of Blakely, and Lonnie Butler and wife Mamie of Dothan; 10 great-grandchildren; nine great-greatgrandchildren; a goddaughter, Helen Murray of Arlington; and one grandson in-law, Travis Douglas. Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Arlington with Rev. E.N. Dixon officiating. Interment followed at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clayton Evans, Anqua Shorter, Alonzo Timpson, Ben Blocker, Eddie C. Blocker and Dominic Blocker.
Peoples Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
