Perry Griffin reward fund opened

LWCF operator Mark Winslett has opened a "Perry Griffin Reward" account at the Five Star Credit Union in Cedar Springs. The funds will be used as a reward to find the person who shot and killed Perry Griffin during an apparent robbery June 25. Perry is the son of P.D. Griffin, pulp mill operator. He left behind his wife, Ginger, and three young children.

Mark said that his heart was touched when he was told that Perry's daughter, Georgia, emptied her piggy bank and asked her mother to give the contents of the bank which was $34.14 to find the person who killed her daddy. When Winslett heard this he decided to open this account and ask for donations to add to Georgia's $34.14.

To contribute to the reward fund, make your checks payable to the "Perry Griffin Reward" account and mail to Five Star Credit Union, P.O. Box 265, Cedar Springs, GA 39832. If you have questions. please call Mark Winslett at 229-723- 5537 or Five Star Credit Union in Cedar Springs at 229-372-4586.
