Chancy - Shue

Mr. and Mrs. James F. Chancy Jr. are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rachel Leigh, to Nathan Andrew Shue, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Fisher of Harrisburg, N.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Vivian Chancy and the late James F. Chancy Sr. of Blakely and Byrdine Lewis of Charlotte, N.C. and the late Vernon K. Lewis.

A 1999 honor graduate of Early County High School, Miss Chancy graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of education in communication sciences and disorders from Valdosta State University in 2003. In 2005, she received a master of education in communication sciences and disorders from Valdosta State University. She is employed as a pediatric speech and language pathologist at Achieve Therapy Services in Matthews, N.C.

The future groom is the grandson of Marquette Fisher and the late Henry Fisher of Kannapolis, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Hefner of Harrisburg, N.C.

A 1999 graduate of Central Cabarrus High School in Concord, N.C., Mr. Shue graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of criminal justice and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2003. He is employed as a deputy sheriff for the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 3, 2007, at 5:30 p.m. at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, at the Ida Cason Memorial Chapel with the reception immediately following at the lodge and spa. Local invitations will be sent.
