Joan Widner Technician Joan Widner, 74, of Donalsonville died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Widner was born in Early County Nov. 4, 1932, to the late Cordy Timothy and Ruby Clyde Houston Williams. She was a certified medical records technician and worked for many years at Seminole Memorial Hospital and at the state hospital in Bainbridge. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Donalsonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivey G. "Junior" Widner; three sisters, Ruby Hammock, Jewel Alday and Myrtice Martin; and one brother, Emory Williams. Survivors include one son, Terry Widner and wife Michele of Tallahassee; one daughter, Sharon Hodges and husband Benny of Donalsonville; four grandchildren, Marian Hunter, Bryant Hodges, Jake Hodges and Cordy Widner; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Hunter. Funeral services were Thursday, July 12, 2007, at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Luther Hastey and Rev. Morgan Whitfield officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville.
