Ann Talbert Smith
Teacher

Ann Talbert Smith, 94, of Macon died Friday, June 29, 2007.

Mrs. Smith was born in Brinson Sept. 1, 1912, to the late Mr. and Mrs. D.K. Talbert. She taught 11th and 12th grade English at Seminole County High School for 30 years and was county wide teacher of the year and four-time Star Teacher. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Donalsonville where she taught the Dorcas Class for 15 years and the Joyful Sunday School Class for 20 years and was active in many civic organizations.

Survivors include one son, John Porter Smith Jr. and wife Sharon Morris Smith of Macon; one sister-in-law, Edna Golden Walter of Cedar Springs; and nephews, John Golden and Paul Golden of Cedar Springs, Clint Smith of Tampa and Andy Smith of Anniston, Ala.

Funeral services were private.

Hart's Mortuary in Macon was in charge of arrangements.
