Peanuts to pencils There's an old saying that "where there's a will, there's a way." Family Connections FACES and its partners are asking the "willing" to help with the annual Peanuts to Pencils school supply drive. This project ensures that all children in Early County begin the school year with the necessary supplies. Peanuts to Pencils displays are located at Maddox Memorial Library, Bank of Early, Commercial State Bank and First State Bank. Citizens, church groups, businesses and civic groups are encouraged to pick up a few basic school supplies and return them to the drop box at any of the above locations. Supplies are given to students referred by a social worker or teacher.
