COLLEGE NEWS Georgia Southern University recently awarded two local students scholarships. Abby Brown and Stanton Harrell, both of Blakely, each received a $1,000 Southern LEAD Scholarship. The Southern LEAD Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen with a minimum SAT score of 1000 and grade point average of 3.0.
The award is based on outstanding leadership experience and extracurricular activities.
