Jimmy Branton Jimmy Leon "Shot" Branton, 53, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, in San Jose, Calif., from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Branton was a lifelong resident of Altha, Fla. He was a supervisor of heavy equipment operations, installing transmission lines across the United States. Branton was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Hazel Branton and Coy and Mildred O'Bryan; and a nephew, Billy Reeder. Survivors include his father, Jimmy L. Branton Sr. and wife Agnes Hudson- Branton of Blakely; his mother, Pauline Anderson and husband Andy of Altha; one brother, David Branton and wife Mollie of Altha; one sister, Diane Herrera and husband George of Port St. Joe Beach, Fla; three nephews, Justine Branton, Jayce Branton and David Jemison, all of Altha; two nieces, Kristan Branton of Altha and Sharon Jemison of San Antonio, Texas; and two step-brothers, Greg Hudson and Tim Hudson, both of Blakely. Funeral services were Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Altha United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim McIntosh and Dr. Frank Hyles officiating. Interment followed at O'Bryan Cemetery in Altha.
