Winla Jones Wade Retired

Winla Jones Bonner Wade, 82, of Edison died Monday, June 25, 2007, at Calhoun Nursing Home in Edison.

Mrs. Wade was born in Calhoun County Nov. 13, 1924, to the late Walter Sanders Jones and Mary Elizabeth Jones. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and a retired seamstress and inspector for Editex and Carter Textiles.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gordon Bonner Sr. and Charles Wade.

Survivors include two sons, Gordon Bonner Jr. and wife Martha of Edison and Greg Bonner of Albany; one sister,Waver J. Melton of Ft. Gaines; one brother, Billy "Buddy" Jones and wife Bobbie of Ft. Gaines; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are today, Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Manry-Jordan- Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Williams officiating.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joe Evans

Farmer

Joe Evans, 79, of Dundee, Fla., died Friday, June 22, 2007, in Winter Haven, Fla.

Mr. Evans was born in Early County Jan. 20, 1928, to the late William Charlie Middleton and Ruby Lee Glass Evans. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include one son, Terry Evans of Dundee, Fla.; one daughter, Mary Jane Fuller, of Davenport, Fla.; one brother, Henry Evans, of Blakely; and two granddaughters, Krystal Evans and Katie Evans of Dundee, Fla.

Graveside services were Monday, June 25, 2007, at 4 p.m. at Cedar Springs Cemetery with Rev. Boyd Evans officiating.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Kathleen White

Homemaker

Kathleen White, 83, of Blakely died Friday, June 22, 2007, at Early Memorial Nursing Home.

Miss White was born in Early County April 18, 1924, to the late Fred White and Cleo Loyless White. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include one sister, Rena Belle of Blakely; one brother-in-law, Billy English of Blakely; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were Sunday, June 24, 2007, at 3 p.m. at Blakely Cemetery with Rev. Jim Burgess officiating.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
