COLLEGE NEWS Karen Ann LaBorde of Blakely and Kayci Renee LeRoy of Fort Gaines graduated from Darton College in spring 2007 with associate of science degrees. Matthew S. Wall of Fort Gaines graduated from Darton College in spring 2007 with an associate of science certificate. University of Florida Kelly Clifford graduated summa cum laude with a degree in bio-chemistry and a minor in molecular biology from the University of Florida honors program. Her senior research project was the investigation of the role of thymosin B4 on chondrocytes exposed to interleukin-1, and its importance with the progression of osteoarthritis. Kelly was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Golden Key Honor Society and was on the president's honor roll.
Kelly will attend the University of Florida School of Medicine in the fall. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Clifford of Blakely.
