Big Bass!

Buddy Mckeller had a great day fishing Saturday, June 2. At about noon, he was "up a creek" somewhere near Ft. Gaines fishing for bass with a purple plastic worm on light tackle. He thought he had hooked a gator but 25 minutes later he pulled in a 39 lb 8 oz striped bass as officially weighed by DNR. According to the Georgia Outdoor News, this is Lake Walter F. George's largest fish recorded caught out of the lake to date. Buddy wants all of his friends to know that he caught it on the "Georgia Side!" Come on down and try your luck in Ft. Gaines!
