Water restrictions

The Georgia EPD declared a level two drought response statewide in April, permitting outdoor watering only in the morning on designated days. Under the level two drought response, outdoor watering is allowed only from midnight to 10 a.m. on the odd-even days already being enforced under the non-drought restrictions.

Odd-numbered addresses water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Even-numbered addresses water on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. There is a statewide watering ban on Fridays.

More strict restrictions are expected to be implemented if the drought continues. Several cities across the state have already implemented the stricter restrictions. Blakely citizens are asked to observe the restrictions and call 723- 3677 for more information.
