County adopts travel trailer ordinance The Early County Commission approved a new travel trailer ordinance at their meeting Monday night at the County Administration building. Changes in the ordinance address travel trailers brought into the county for hunting camps. Any travel trailers brought in as living quarters during hunting season must have a current valid tag attached. If the trailer remains in the county past 90 days, it must have a decal attached even if it has a tag. The ordinance also sets lot size requirements and holds the landowner responsible for ensuring that a travel trailer located on their property is in compliance with the ordinance if the trailer's owner is unresponsive or cannot be located. The commissioners also approved a request to allow location of a landfill on the Yellow Pine Biomass Energy project in Clay County. The project is within one half mile of the Early County line and EPD requires the county's approval.
The commissioners will hold a budget meeting May 10 at 1:30 at the County Administration building.
