Georgia Southwestern

Amanda Crocker Braswell, daughter of Steve and Valerie Crocker, graduated Saturday, May 5 from Georgia Southwestern University with a bachelor of science in education with a middle grades education major and English concentration. Amanda is a 2003 graduate of Early County High School.

Donald Edward Braswell, son of Alan and Donna Braswell, graduated Saturday, May 5 from Georgia Southwestern University with a master's degree in business administration. Donald is a 1999 graduate of Early County High School.

Fort Valley State

Kyle Quinton Harris graduated May 5, 2007, with a bachelor of arts in history, magna cum laude, at the 66th Annual Spring Commencement ceremony at Fort Valley State University.

Harris has been accepted to the Florida State University's doctoral program in African-American history. He plans to concentrate his master's thesis and dissertation research on the educational, political and spiritual roles of African Americans during Reconstruction in South Georgia.

He is the son of Eric and Willie Mae Harris and the grandson of Willie B. and Millie Smith and Norma T. Harris-Great and the late Charles Reefus Harris, all of Blakely.

Harris is a 2004 graduate of Early County High School.
