Tabb, Lee wedding vows exchanged

Mr. and Mrs. Lance Tabb
Lance Tabb and Whitney Lee were united in marriage March 10, 2007, at Arlington Baptist Church. Whitney is the daughter of Alan and Marcia Lee of Leary and the granddaughter of Frank and Patricia Heard of Colquitt and Grady and the late Louise Lee of Patmos. Lance is the son of Russ and Gay Tabb of Colquitt and the grandson of Bobbie and the late Percy Hornsby of Iron City and Bob Tabb and Janice Tabb, both of Colquitt.

Music at the evening ceremony was provided by vocalists Mandy Braswell and Elijah Brantley, harpist Merrie Beth Eubanks and pianist Michael Weirsten. Dr. Robert Whitmire, the couple's pastor at First Baptist Church of Americus, performed the ceremony and a scripture was read by Kristi Smith, a friend of the couple.

The bride, wearing an ivory silk and organza strapless gown and pearl adorned fingertip veil, was escorted and presented by her father. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies. The bride's attendants wore latte floor length chiffon gowns and carried a bouquet of white hydrangea and pink roses. The maid of honor was Ansley Smith, cousin of the bride; and the bridesmaids were Mandy Braswell, LeeAnn Brooks, Ashley Murdock and Becky Tennille, all friends of the bride. Morgan Heard, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl, and Sydney Hayes, friend of the bride and Blair Lee, cousin of the bride, served as program attendants.

The best man was Russ Tabb, father of the groom. Groomsmen were the groom's brothers, Adam and Taylor Tabb; the bride's brother, Miles Lee; and Don Braswell, Lee Everett and Jonathan Scott, all friends of the groom.

Following the ceremony, the bride's family hosted a reception at McLendon Barn. Other weekend activities included a rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom's family at StillPond Vineyard and Winery.

After a week-long honeymoon in St. Lucia, West Indies, Mr. and Mrs. Tabb reside in Leesburg. The bride will graduate from Georgia Southwestern State University in the fall with a bachelor of science in middle grades education. The groom is employed by Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital as a nurse in the surgical intensive care unit.
