And the winner is...
Chamber of Commerce chairperson Janet Payton, left, presents Dorthea Lovett a plaque recognizing her as the 2007 "Administrative Professional of the Year."

One of the highlights each year at the Chamber's Administrative Professionals Luncheon is the announcement of the "Administrative Professional of the Year."

This year's winner is Dorthea Lovett, nominated by Nancy Mock, Early County Department of Family and Children Services director.

"Lovett 'wears many hats' at the local office including secretarial duties, office manager and receptionist," Mock stated.

Lovett has been employed at DFCS since 2000. "She has been consistently recognized by her peers, customers and state level staff for her exemplary customer service and cheerful willingness to help others."

Lovett has received a "Right Work, Right Way" customer service award by the state and has been recognized as worker of the year locally. In addition, she has received state recognition. Mock said customers ask for Lovett by name and have come to count on her ready smile, nonjudgmental attitude and willingness to serve others.
