US 27 traffic shift

Georgia DOT has announced a traffic shift on U.S. 27 between Colquitt and Blakely scheduled for April 19, weather permitting.

At that time, traffic will be shifted from the existing lanes of U.S. 27 to the newly constructed lanes just north of New Hope Church Rd. and run in a northerly direction for approximately 1.1 miles, to allow Oxford Construction Company to continue into the next phase of construction.

Motorists traveling on this section of U.S. 27 should slow down, be alert and pay special attention to all work zone signs, pavement markings, traffic control devices and changing traffic patterns.

Drivers are encouraged to use the services provided at GDOT's Traffic Management Center at 888-635-8287. Motorists can also go to www.georgia navigator.com.
