ECES fourth and fifth graders write in "Fair Bear" contest

Many fourth and fifth grade students at Early County Elementary School recently participated in the 2007 Georgia National "Fair Bear" writing competition.

Students were required to create a story between 200 and 500 words describing "Fair Bear's First Job" as the theme.

The following students were winners, and first place stories were sent to the state level competition to be announced in October.

Fifth grade winners were Latoya Eaford, first place; Gabrielle Walker, second place; Ethan Ellis, third place; and Jennifer Hernandez, fourth place.

Fourth grade winners were Lindsey McDonald, first place; Antonio Bryant, second place; Shakeria Dunwood, third place; and Jasmine Sheppard, fourth place.
