Le Edwarna Johnson Le Edwarna Powell Johnson, 84, of Blakely died Wednesday, March 14, 2007. Mrs. Johnson was born in Blakely July 12, 1922, to the late Joseph B. Powell and Amanda Hutchins Powell. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked at Temple University Hospital as an operating room nurse for many years. She was preceded in death by four children. Survivors include one son, Raymond Berry of Blakely; two daughters, Vivian Berry and Rita Bradley, both of Blakely; one sister, Ella Ruth McAllister of Bridgeton, N.J.; one brother, Lincoln Powell of Harrisburg, Penn.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services were Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Seventh Day Adventist Church with Elder Sylvester Powell officiating. Interment followed at Green Cemetery in Blakely.
Community Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
