Habitat dedicates Lee St. home Sunday afternoon

Habitat president Deeds Curry, left, presents the keys to the chapter's third house to Tonya Tinsley Sunday afternoon during the "New House Dedication."
The Blakely-Early County Habitat for Humanity dedicated their third home Sunday afternoon.

Habitat president Deeds Curry presented the keys to the new house at 200 Lee St. to Tonya Tinsley and her three children, Kendra Tinsley, six, Kendal York, 13, and Tracy Williams, nine months. Tinsley is employed by the Public Safety Department.

"I thank all of those who helped make this home happen," Curry stated.

She noted that she is confident that the local Habitat chapter will be able to rise to the "one house per year" demand that Habitat International requires. "We certainly have the resources to meet this demand."

Other Habitat for Humanity members participating in the dedication were Chuck DeVane, Kenneth Hall, David and Cynthia Ferry and Chris and Michelle Peace.
