City watering restrictions

With the spring season coming to full bloom Blakely residents are reminded by Mayor Ric Hall that the following outdoor watering restrictions will be in effect again this year.

The non-drought restrictions in place allow residential outdoor watering between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. as follows:

Odd-numbered addresses water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Even-numbered addresses water on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. There is a statewide watering ban on Fridays. The only exception to the restrictions is watering of personal food gardens.

More strict restrictions are included in the ordinance in the event of state declared drought conditions. Citizens are asked to observe the restrictions. Call 723-3677 for more information.
