Banners missing from Square
Blakely Hometown officials are hoping vigilant, caring citizens will help find and return several of the red banners missing from light columns around Court Square.
"We're not interested in prosecuting anyone at this time," stated Blakely Hometown chairman Kay Hall. "We would just like to get the banners back."
The banners were placed on the lights around Court Square in February 2006 as part of the downtown beautification efforts.
The banner project was made possible by approximately 20 local businnesses and individuals who donated $100 each to the project.
Individuals with any information regarding the missing banners are encouraged to contact the Chamber of Commerce at 723-3741.
