Guests enjoy skit at Pilot Club meeting
Cecelia Bostwick and Marcia King performed a skit in which they portrayed "Mama C," pizza maker extraordinary, and a helper whom she was enticing to be a member of the Pilot Club by telling her about Pilot's community service projects and national projects for the brain injured. "Mama C" also shared information about various money making projects of the local club. These include radio day, poinsettia sales and Christmas cash. Money from these projects goes toward two $500 scholarships awarded to two seniors at ECHS and SGA each year. The club has also helped with projects for needed equipment at the elementary school, hosted parties for the nursing home and presented small gifts of personal items to nursing home patients. One continuing project is the presentation of a puppet show emphasizing brain safety to kindergarteners. The children are then presented with coloring books showing the characters in the puppet show practicing brain safety. After "Mama C's" skit a meal of, what else, pizza was served.
Members and guests participated in a game of "Who has the most items in her purse?" led by Regina Jarrett.
