Lizzie White Homemaker Lizzie Ruth Davis White, 94, of Blakely died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. White was born in Early County Nov. 23, 1912, to the late Henry Jackson Davis and Cordele Sheffield Davis. She was a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Roe White Sr.; and a daughter, Margaret Winslett. Survivors include six daughters, Evelyn Ezzell and husband Charles of Fannings Springs, Fla., Vaudean Bentham and husband George of Warwick, Ga., Lois Baxley and husband Tolbert, and Willie Donley, all of Blakely, Elizabeth Williams and husband Paul of Albany and Lynda Rector of Pensacola; two sons, Willie Roe White and wife Betty, and Emory White and wife Lana, all of Blakely; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, March 2, 2007, at the chapel of Manry- Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Slater and Rev. Buren Womble officiating. Interment followed at Blakely Cemetery. Pallbearers were Willie Ray Baxley, Gregg Baxley, Joe Baxley, Ricky Colley, Bill Kitchens, Mark Winslett II, Eric White, Michael White, Roy Sallions, Wesley White and Patrick White.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
