Ethel Mae Womack Spann, 70, of Blakely died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007.

Mrs. Spann was born Nov. 17, 1937, to the late John Henry and Daisy Hodge. She was the founder and pastor of Grace Temple of Hope.

Survivors include her husband, L.C. Spann; six children, Lee Womack, Marvel Womack, Merilyn Fudge, Matilyn Lewis, Charles Womack and Mal D. Womack; three sisters; two brothers; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 1, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Community Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Ezzie Donaldson officiating. Interment followed at Midway Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Jakin.

Pallbearers were Ivan Fedd, Patrick Haire, Rodney Spann, Larry Fudge, Jeramiah and Mal Womack.

Community Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
