Powell-Williams vows exchanged

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Williams
Meghan Powell and Michael Williams were united in marriage Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Blakely.

The bride is the daughter of David and Wendy Powell and the granddaughter of Mary Williams and William and Evelyn Powell, all of Blakely.

The groom is the son of Danny and Lea Williams and the grandson of Bill and Edye Roberts, all of Blakely, and the late Jack and Hilda Williams of Bluffton.

Rev. Brian Scott, the couple's youth pastor, performed the 4 p.m. double ring ceremony.

Mischa Powell and Lane Moseley served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Lynsey Drew, Megan Everson, Lori Henry and Madison Jackson.

Danny Williams, the groom's father, served as best man. Groomsmen were Brad Clark, Jay Howell, Justin Scarborough, Jonathan Scott and Dan Williams.

Music was presented by Cary Clayborn, vocalist and pianist; Bliss Lucas, vocalist; Chelsea Piper, violinist and Pam Jones, pianist. The wedding was directed by Duane Davis.

A reception was hosted by the bride's parents at the Blakely Town and Country Club. Bell and Lane provided musical entertainment for the evening.

Following a honeymoon at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Mo., the couple reside in Blakely. The bride is employed with the Early County News in ad and page design and the groom is a business education teacher at Early County High School.
