Jerry DeMott Jr. Jerry Lyndon "Jay" DeMott Jr., 40, of Blakely died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. Mr. DeMott was born in Valdosta, Nov. 1, 1966, to Jerry and Judy DeMott. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Blakely and was employed as a manager at Dixie Shooters for five years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roscoe and Cobbie DeMott, Cherice and Richard Craig, and James Butler. Survivors, other than his parents, include his wife, Monica Ullmann DeMott; one son, Dylan DeMott of Atlanta; a brother, Mark DeMott and wife Amy of Orlando; a sister, Nikki Yarbrough and husband Bobby of Valdosta; and parents in-law, Terry and Mona Ullmann of Panama City. Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at 4 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Valdosta with Rev. Peter Ingeman and Rev. Bill Harris officiating.
Carson McLane Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
