Rotary hosts STAR students, teachers

The 2007 STAR students and teachers were the special guests at the Blakely Rotary Club Thursday, Feb. 8.
Rotarian Kenneth Hall, Chamber of Commerce president, presented the program.
Early County High principal Jim Morrell introduced STAR student Thomas Harris. Harris introduced his STAR teacher, Leigh Ann Collins.
Southwest Georgia Academy headmaster Doug Dease introduced SGA STAR student Thomas Corrigan who is the system STAR student and will represent Early County in the district S T A R c o m p e t i t i o n . Corrigan introduced his STAR teacher Sherri Newberry.
The Rotory Club gave each STAR student a $500 scholarship check and the chamber presented the STAR teachers with gift certificates.
