Christine Simpson Christine Roberts Simpson, 78, of Blakely died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Early Memorial Nursing Home. Mrs. Simpson was born in Colquitt County, Ga., June 17, 1928, to the late Drew Roberts and Bunie Price Roberts. She was a member of Colomokee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Richard Simpson. Survivors include three sons, Roy Simpson and wife Sherry of Bluffton, David Simpson of Blakely, and Kenneth Simpson of Valdosta; one brother, Homer Roberts of Bradenton, Fla.; three sisters, Irene Murphy of Moultrie, Marzine Cooper of Pelham and Juanita Roberts of Warner Robins; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services were Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Colomokee Cemetery with Rev. Fred Odom officiating.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
