Charles C. Logan Sr. Charles Cary Logan Sr., 89, of Birmingham died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 in Birmingham. Mr. Logan was born in Hollins, Ala., to the late John Cary Logan and Lillian Robinson Logan. Mr. Logan was a member of East Lake United Methodist Church and the Liles Brotherhood Sunday School class. He was employed with Southern Railroad for 38 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jean Hurd Logan; and two sisters, Mary Pitts and Florence Corley. Survivors include one son Charles Cary Logan Jr. and wife Carleen of Blakely; two daughters, Madelon Rushing and husband Fred and Rebecca Rollins and husband Doug, all of Birmingham; six grandchildren, Kathryn Nafziger of Birmingham, Sharon Walter and husband James of Montgomery, Chris Logan of Blakely, Chuck Logan and wife Merritt of Albany, Mary Catherine Rollins and Lee Rollins both of Birmingham; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services were Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Canterbury United Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Morgan and the Rev. Deacon Katy Smith officiating.
Jefferson Memorial Gardens was in charge of arrangements.
