Rose Lee Smith Rose Lee Smith, 84, of Blakely died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at Early Memorial Nursing Home. Mrs. Smith was born in Early County, Oct. 20, 1922, to the late Joe Barnes and Larner Berry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Bud Smith; and one son, Eddie C. Smith. Survivors include one sister, Pearla Mae Moreland; five sisters-in-law, Ella Jones, Vesta Knight, Ola Thompson, Juanita Johnson, and Mollie Anthony; three grandsons, Derrick C. Anderson, Ricky Smith, and Aleck Smith; and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at 12 p.m., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Ross officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Peoples Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
