FCCLA Week in progress at Early County High School

The Early County Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America began its annual FCCLA Week on February 11-17. Sunday was "spiritual development," all members were encouraged to attend a church of their choicewith family members. Monday was devoted to "public relations," when announcements were made on the school television along with newsletters being placed around the school. Tuesday will be known as "health awareness," as FCCLA will be implementing a student body project to emphasize people living a healthier, more active lifestyle including a hip hop workout and nutritional snacks.

Wednesday is "chapter involvement," when the chapter meeting will occur. Thursday is dedicated to "school involvement," and appreciation will be shown to the faculty and staff by providing brunch trays. Friday, is "academic excellence," all FCCLA honor roll members will receive special treats. In addition, several

athletes from ECHS will read to elementary school students to kickoff the Georgia Read More Project.

Concluding FCCLA Week on Saturday is "family communications," where members are encouraged to plan an activity with their families to support the central focus of the organization, which is to strengthen the function of the family as the basic unit of society.
