Schools announce rules for valentine deliveries

In an effort to minimize disruption of the educational process, the following guidelines must be followed for valentine deliveries to Early County Schools.

No valentine deliveries for students will be accepted at Early County Elementary or Early County Alternative School.

Early County High School will only accept deliveries from floral and gift businesses. Early County High School will not accept any deliveries from parents or other individuals, at any time during the day.

Early County Middle School will accept parent deliveries until noon and florist/business deliveries as indicated above. All deliveries must have a clearly visible card attached with the following information on the card: student's full name and grade, student's homeroom teacher's name and room number.

All deliveries for staff must have a clearly visible card which includes the first and last name followed by the word "staff."

No balloons will be allowed on ECSS buses.

All floral and other business deliveries must be delivered, unloaded and set up per school instructions, between 1:30 and 2:45 p.m. Feb. 14.

At the end of the school day, students will be allowed to go to the designated school distribution point to claim valentine deliveries.

In allowing business deliveries, schools accept no responsibilty for mistaken, unclaimed or other problems related to orders and/or deliveries. Florists are responsible for all unclaimed deliveries and orders not received by the intended recipient.
