FCCLA hosts annual Family Night

FCCLA officers for the 2006-2007 term were installed at the banquet.
The Early County Chapter of FCCLA held its annual Family Night program Jan. 11, 2007, in the school cafeteria with approximately 50 members, parents and guests in attendance. Guests enjoyed light refreshments and pleasantries with hostesses prior to the program. They even took great interest in the chapter scrapbooks on display.

The Family Night theme for this year was "Amplify Your Life with FCCLA." There was a great amount of participation from chapter members and assistant officers. Attendees enjoyed a variety of music ranging from rock to rap, a little gospel and a whole lot of soul. Adrian Wade, Arie Martin, Heather McDowell, Kearia Graham, Jameka Grimes, Sada Harris, Alexica Wimbush, Terri Levatte, Terrance Williams, Larry Johnson, Laura Alexander, Codi Virgin and Kiswana Lester helped to make this program such a success.

Family Night chairman, Malanie Love, and Jennifer Cunningham welcomed everyone and introduced special guests. In addition, India Bankston and Terrance Williams narrated a slide show which gave an overview of highlights so far this school year. Malanie Love shared a slide show of special photos and memories that she experienced over the summer through her participation in the Japanese Exchange Program.

Chapter President, Deanne Allen, installed the 2006-2007 FCCLA Executive Council and completed the initiation ceremony for new members. This solemn yet joyful occasion was really a night to be remembered. Jameka Grimes sang the traditional song "One Little Candle" to salute the program as chapter officers began to light candles in order to make the world a brighter place. Chapter advisers for the 2006-2007 school year are Shanice Richardson and Tonja Bridges.
