Earl S. Shepard Earl Stanley Shepard, 83, of Leary died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Mr. Shepard was born in Miller County, Dec. 3, 1923, to the late J. Oscar Shepard and Eula Rooks Shepard. He was an Army veteran serving in WWII, and the retired owner of Shep Oil Company, as well as a Ford dealer and member of Leary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Christine Tucker Shepard of Leary; three daughters, Brenda S. Lane and husband J.O. of Edison, Janet S. Felts and husband Terry of Vonore, Tenn., and Katherine S. Dean and husband Andy of Leary; two brothers, Steve Shepard of Starkville, Miss., and Calvin Shepard of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Lane, Julian Michael Lane, Jared Clayton Dean and Megan Alyssa Dean. Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at 3 p.m., at Leary Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Jenkins officiating. Interment followed at Leary Cemetery.
Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
