Corn growers want to end dependence on foreign oil

Wildfire season off to exceptionally busy start
      Georgia's wildfire season is getting off to an exceptionally busy start, with more than 300 fires burning close to 2,000 acres in the first week of March alone. "The number one cause of wildfire is debris burning that gets out of control," said Alan Dozier, chief of forest protection with the Georgia Forestry Commission.

TIPS & TRIVIA
      BITTER CUKE - Cucumbers develop a bitter taste if the soil is not kept consistently moist, say experts with the University of Georgia Extension Service. Harvest cukes for pickling whole when they're 2 to 4 inches long. For table use, pick them when they're longer than 5 inches. Remove any overripe cucumbers to encourage continuous production.
