The Early County Market Hog Show was Feb. 19 at the Early County Ag Center. There were 20 contestants and 40 hogs entered in this year's event4. Contestants competed in four showmanship classes and six different weight classes. The Blakely-Early County Chamber of Commerce adopted a comprehensive Program of Work for 2007 at the Feb. 21 board meeting. Chamber president Kenneth Hall reported that every committee had met and developed their mission and goals. The future of Early County will be mingling in high cotton next week when a group of local officials and citizens meet with elected officials and state department heads in Atlanta. Homemaker Mary Alice Green Miliner, 82, of Bluffton died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Early Memorial Hospital. The SGA Lady Warriors traveled to ABAC in Tifton Wednesday for the first round of the GISA state basketball tournament.
