COLLEGE NEWS Abraham Baldwin A total of 370 students were named to the 2006 fall term dean’s list at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Students on the dean’s list attained a minimum grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and carried at least 12 hours of academic work. The student in this area named to the dean’s list was Quinton T. Godfrey, Jr. of Damascus. Students who complete between six and eleven hours of academic course work with a grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale are selected for the distinquished student list. Students in this area named to the distinquished student list were Robin D. Belcher and Conchetta L. Jackson of Ft. Gaines, Ga. Student on the president’s list attained an “A” in every subject, resulting in a perfect 4.0 grade point average. The students had to carry a minimum of 12 hours of academic course work. Each student on the list also made the dean’s list for the semester. The student in this area named to the president’s list was Kraig H. Vickers of Leary. Georgia Southern Junior Michelle L. Pullen, a fashion merchandising and apparel design major at Georgia Southern University, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2006 term. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours for the semester. Troy University Troy University held fall 2006 commencement exercises at the Dothan Civic Center Dec. 17. Diplomas were awarded to more than 250 students who completed requirements for diplomas. Those receiving diplomas for undergraduate studies include Brooks Allen Carter, Mia La Teesh Pittman, Leslie Michelle Usry, and Christy Worsley Whitaker.
Graduate degrees were awarded to Renee’ H. Pullen and Danny Ray Lovering.
