Escorted by her father, the bride wore a designer gown of ivory taffeta. The neckline was strapless and delicately beaded with silver thread and accented with seed pearls, crystals and sequins. The bodice had a slim, drop waistline with a full a-line skirt. The skirt was caught up in couturier styling and accented with silver medallions. The bride wore a cathedral length traditional veil. She carried an English garden nosegay of antique hydrangeas, miniature callas, bouvardi and eskimo roses.

Ella Grace Squires, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Squires, served as the flower girl.

The bridesmaids wore floor length, light pink chiffon dresses with a vneckline in front and back, a cummerbund waist, and an a-line skirt. The bridesmaid bouquets were an arrangement of livia pink roses, hydrangeas and kermit buttons tied with organza ribbons.

Walter Walker Carroll II, father of the groom, served as the best man. Neil Davis Allison, Kelly Layton Dees Jr., Gary Phillip Ethridge Jr., Jason Eugene Grady, Martin Shane Golden, Charles Albert Shenton IV, all friends of the groom, and Joshua Walker Carroll, brother of the groom, served as groomsmen.

The church was decorated with pewter candelabras adorned with native greenery and antique columns of ivies, surrounded by ferns and ficus trees.

A reception, given by the parents of the bride, was held at the Valdosta Country Club. Donna Farwell played the piano as guests entered the reception. “Rhythm Oil” from Waycross provided the entertainment for the evening.

The reception was decorated with arrangements of vibrant colors of orange roses, bells of Ireland, hydrangeas, kermit buttons and Queen Anne’s lace in silver goblets.
