Dome Bound!
The Bobcats are heading back to the Dome Saturday with a frenzied crowd of Blue and Gold fans in tow. On the road trip this past weekend the Bobcats defeated the Calhoun Yellow Jackets 20- 3 Friday night to earn a trip back to the Georgia Dome for the semifinals of the Georgia high school football playoffs. With a little over an hour before the polls closed in Tuesday's runoff election only 165 voters had cast ballots. According to Early County Election Superintendent Tonya Holley, "That's about $36 a vote." She estimated the election cost the county approximately $6,000. More...

The Blakley-Early County Youth Football League will hold their annual banquet this Thursday, Dec. 7 at the Early County Elementary School Cafeteria at 6 p.m. They are asking for you to use the rear parking lot and enter through the gym. Bobcat fans are the best
There were so many reasons to not attend last week's Bobcat football game - wind chills near freezing, 256 mile trip, busiest time of the year, holiday activities Saturday, etc. However, when we walked out onto the field just before kickoff, the visitors' stands in Calhoun were completely filled with Early County supporters, and nearly all were standing and cheering. Carl Thomas Garrett Sr., 77, of Cedar Springs died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, at Early Memorial Hospital. Mr. Garrett was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Shelby County to the late Tom and Nell Garrett. Advance to semi-finals and the Georgia Dome
