Local student gains leadership skills at FCCLA training
      Willie Wimberly, a student at Early County High School attended the Family, Career and Community Leader's of America's Ultimate State Officer Academy Training, held in Va. As the FCCLA state president, Wimberly had the opportunity to participate in and complete Phase II, Capitol Leadership, of the FCCLA USA Leadership Training.

Youth football banquet to be held Thursday
      The Blakley-Early County Youth Football Lea-gue will hold their annual banquet this Thursday, Dec. 7 at the ECES cafeteria at 6 p.m. They are asking for you to use the rear parking lot and enter through the gym. Due to the program growing this year, the banquet is limited to just the athletes and their parents. There will not be room for extended family this year.

      ECHS Class of 2006, yearbooks can be picked up in Mrs. Cheri Harrell's room after 1 p.m. any day this week and Monday, Dec. 11 between 8:30- 11:30 and Tuesday, Dec. 12 between 8:30-11:30 and 1:30-3:30.

ECES fifth grade students make a difference
      For the past three years, ECES fifth grade PROBE/Challenge classes have read a story about children helping others. After reading the story, the classses wanted to make a difference in someone else's life. They talked about various foundations and the students decided to continue raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
