Michael Catt to be guest speaker at First Baptist

Michael Catt will be the guest preacher this Sunday morning, Aug. 6 at First Baptist Church of Blakely. The regularly scheduled service times are 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Everyone is invited, and a nursery is provided at every service.

Dr. Catt has been pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, since 1989. He is a graduate of Mississippi College, attended New Orleans Seminary and holds a masters of divinity from Luther Rice Bible Seminary and a doctorate of ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary. He is an author and has written several books and booklets, including: I Left My Mind In Mississippi ... But I Still Have My Ministry, I May Be Wrong ... But I Doubt It, Worship: Letting Go and Letting God Have His Way, and is the editor of Reflections on the Gospels, by Vance Havner. His weekly articles in the Sherwood Communicator, From the Cluttered Desk are read by thousands of laity and ministers across the country.

Michael co-founded the Bridge Builders Pastor's Conferences with Warren Wiersbe. He is the editor of www.2prophetu.com with Warren Wiersbe, a web site designed to help and encourage ministers. He is the founder of the REFRESH Conference on Revival and Spiritual Awakening which is held each year in Albany and in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Michael has a heart for revival and for preachers. He uses his spare time to invest in ministers and to encourage churches to seek the Lord for revival.

He and his wife Terri have two children, Erin and Hayley.
