Marvin Marcine Bush Jr., 55, of Leesburg, died Thursday, June 27, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Bush was born in Early County, Dec. 24, 1950, son of the late Marvin Marcine Bush Sr. and Thelma Harrison Bush Cox. He was a welder, boilermaker and construction worker. He presently owned Treetop Kennels in Leesburg and in 1980 the Bush Kennels in Blakely.
Mr. Bush had worked for Georgia Pacific, Piedmont Mechanical, Fleu Daniels Construction, Watkins Construction and M&M Mars. He was a dog trainer, and a member of Southwest Georgia Squirrel Hunters Club, National Wild Turkey Federation and American Tree & Feist Association. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Rachel Laura Bush Colodny of Loganville, Ga.; one son, Marvin Marcine Bush III of Leesburg; two stepdaughters, Kelly McCarley and husband Chris of Donalsonville and Wendy McDonald of Arlington; one sister, Wanda Etheridge of Leesburg and husband Stevie of Leesburg; two aunts, Elizabeth Day and Annie Snyder, both of Blakely; and four grandchildren, Courtney, Noah and Sutton McCarley of Donalsonville and Keaton Tiner of Arlington.
Graveside services were Friday, June 30, 2006, at 10 a.m., at Blakely Cemetery with Hershell Culbreth officiating.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
