What's happening 'On Campus'

Faculty

Mrs. McNeal's Anatomy class just finished studying the brain. This included the dissection of a sheep brain. This week they will begin studying the special senses. Her biology classes are studying genetics and the nervous system.

One of Mrs. Langley's ninth grade classes is reading the novel entitled Summer of Our Human Soldier, which is a historical fiction set during WWII. Her other two ninth grade classes are working on a concentrated unit of reading skills. Mrs. Langley's seniors have just begun an in depth unit on Shakespeare's Macbeth.

Mrs. Kilgore's AP language test is scheduled for May 1.

Mrs. Collins' Trig class celebrated Pi Day on March 14, while enjoying refreshments in the shapes of circles. The students calculated Pi by comparing the ratio of circumference to diameter of various circular objects.

All of Mrs. Commander's second year students will soon be proficient in vital sign taking.

Mrs. Deborah Evans would like to congratulate her first, second, third and fourth period American History students on a job well done on the mock graduation test. The percentage of passing scores for these four classes was very high.

She feels these students have worked extremely hard and would like to congratulate them on a job well done.

Mrs. Curry wants to remind all students to do their very best at all things. Her civics class has projects that are due April 28. The sociology class has reports on religion that are due March 31. Mrs. Curry would like to tell her Economics Entrepreneurs "Good job!!"

Mrs. Cox would like to remind her economics classes that the end of course test is May 1 and 2, they really need to be studying and preparing for it. Clubs

Skills USA opening and closing team are practicing for State.

FFA - March 17 and 18, Josh Tatum, Haley Pritchett, Wesley White, Jason Gentry and Justin Wilkerson attended the state national resource contest where they competed in a GPS exercise, wildlife identification, written test and had to write a press release.

FBLA - Trip Waller, Adrian Wade, Cliff Price and Kevin Thomas attended the State Leadership Convention in Atlanta from March 17 to March 19. Athletics

Track and Field - The March 23 meet is scheduled at Thomas County Central and the March 30 in Pelham.

Tennis - Boys' and girls' tennis matches against Randolph-Clay will be at home on March 23 and against Berrien in Albany on March 27.
