Early County High School is beginning something new to allow parents to know what is going on during the week. Teachers, administrators, club sponsors and the athletics department will place information in the paper about what they are doing during the week. Windy Cox's fifth period class which consists of Laura Alexander, Katlain Anglin, Bailey Driver, Terrance Henry, Khary King, Andrew Lee and Brook Lewis will be gathering the information.
Counselor News: Testing - Ninth and tenth graders will take the TAP test on the following days: Monday, March 20 language; Tuesday, March 21 math; Wednesday, March 22 science; and Thursday, March 23 social studies. Eleventh grade students will take the Georgia High School graduation test: Monday, March 20 language; Tuesday, March 21 math; Wednesday, March 22 science; and Thursday, March 23 social studies.
Please make sure that your student is studying and getting plenty of rest before these tests.
Faculty News: First year healthcare science students are studying the cardiovascular system and the structure of the heart and flow of blood through the heart.
In Mr. Winkler's physical science class, the students will begin studying radioactivity this week. In biology class, they will begin the study of DNA. In the year long physical science class, they study lenses and mirrors and in the year long biology class, they will study the unit on animals.
Athletics: The track team opens their season Wednesday, March 15 at Hugh Mills stadium in Albany at a meet hosted by Westover High School. Saturday, March 18 they will compete at the Thomas County Central Invitational in Thomasville. The tennis team will compete against Miller County on Thursday in Colquitt.
